Id Phase 1: First We Design The Waffle...

Get ready to blow our minds!

BRIEF:

For the first ID phase, we want you to design the WAFFLE, not the waffle MAKER.

What does the waffle do? How does it help you add toppings/syrup etc.? Where do the toppings go? How do you eat it? Think outside the box! Think outside the waffle!

Remember that our posted ideas are just a springboard for your creativity. Feel free to borrow elements, expand on and improve our first efforts. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

DELIVERABLES:

Sketches, models, mock-ups, anything VISUAL to show your idea. A good idea doesn’t need a paragraph of explanation, one line will do… :-)

RESTRICTIONS:

Size: remember, the waffle still needs to fit on a plate

Structure: The cooked batter is essentially becoming a build material and designs need to be structurally sound.

Feasibility: Still needs to be achievable; if you have a far-out idea, how could you ‘mod it’ or ‘tone it down’ to make it a realistic prospect?
