I am 31 years old and take online college courses full time, work part time, and am on Quirky most of the rest of my time! I have always wanted to be an inventor, so finding Quirky was awesome for me. When I was 10 years old I had the idea to make an alarm that lets you know if your refrigerator is left open, but my uncle told me "they already have those". When I was 18 I came up with an idea for an electric guitar foot pedal that will send the signal back and forth between amplifiers (like the effect you hear on records of the sound going from one speaker to the other). I talked to a patent attorney but ultimately did not pursue the idea further. Then in 2012 I found Quirky and it has been a great way to get my ideas out there.
